After signing a three-year contract with Wigan Warriors, we take an in-depth look at Brad Singleton’s career so far with ten facts…

  • Born in Barrow-in-Furness on 29th October 1992, Singleton started playing rugby league at Barrow Island Rugby Club.
  • The Cumbrian joined Leeds Rhinos’ youth system in 2009 and made his professional rugby league debut in 2011 as he came off the bench in a 46-12 win over Salford.
Singleton scored a try for Leeds against Wigan in 2015.
  • Singleton spent time on loan at Dewsbury Rams in 2012 and Wakefield Trinity in 2013, before playing for Hunslet on dual registration.
  • In 2014, the prop forward broke into Leeds’ first team and in 2015 was part of the treble-winning team – becoming a Challenge Cup, League Leaders’ Shield and Super League Grand Final winner. Incidentally, he played in the 2015 Grand Final victory over Wigan at Old Trafford.
The prop forward spent ten years at Leeds.
  • In 2015, Singleton made 29 appearances and scored eight Super League tries – the most appearances he has made and tries he has scored in a single season.
  • Internationally, he represented England at Under-15s and Under-16s level and also captained England Academy against the French Schoolboys in a three-test series. Due to his mother’s Irish heritage, the front-rower was eligible to play for Ireland and he was named in the 2017 World Cup squad, where he played three games.
Singleton has represented Ireland.
  • In 2017, Singleton won his second Super League Grand Final ring as he was part of the Leeds team that beat Castleford at Old Trafford.
  • After a short loan spell with Featherstone Rovers in 2019, Singleton ended his ten-year tenure with Leeds as he signed for Canadian club Toronto Wolfpack for the 2020 season.
