Liam Marshall injury update

Wigan Warriors winger Liam Marshall is expected to be sidelined for 9-12 months following the results of a scan on a knee injury.

Marshall, who has made ten appearances for the Cherry and Whites this season – scoring 6 tries, left the field of play with a suspected knee injury against Castleford in Round 10 of the Betfred Super League last Saturday.

Providing an update on Marshall’s condition following Wigan’s defeat to Hull KR on Thursday night, Head Coach Adrian Lam outlined the 24-year-old is set to face a lengthy spell out of action.

Lam said: “He’s ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament so he needs an operation. He will see an expert next week and he will be out between 9-12 months, sadly.”
