Ollie Partington says he excited to get back out on the field as Wigan Warriors take on Hull KR at Emerald Headingley on Thursday evening.

The young prop will feature for the first since March, after missing Wigan’s first three games since the restart due to a suspension he picked up prior to lockdown.

Talking to Wigan TV this week, the 21-year-old shared his delight of being back and discussed what he has been told by his teammates about the effect the new rule changes have had on the game.

He said: “The lads have said that the fitter you are, then the better it is, so I’ve been trying to keep myself fit.

“I don’t think our players have seen a big change in things (since the alterations of the rules) because they are all naturally fit.

“I’ve waited for six months now so I’m raring to go and I’m looking forward to it.”
