Liam Farrell says Saturday’s game against Castleford Tigers at the Halliwell Jones Stadium will be business as usual, despite the late change of opponent.

Initially, the Warriors were scheduled to face Catalans Dragons this weekend, but the Betfred Super League fixture was postponed following positive Covid-19 tests in the Perpignan camp, with their Round 18 game against Daryl Powell’s side brought forward instead.

Farrell says it will be ‘business as usual’ despite the change of opponent.

Talking to Wigan TV on Wednesday, Farrell says nothing has changed from the Wigan perspective and that they are still expecting a challenging encounter.

He said: “It is exactly the same process for us, they’re another tough team who cause opponents a lot of trouble.

“They were involved in a tough game against Saints, so we know what to expect from them. It is business as usual for us – might be different personnel but we have to do our jobs.

“For the players it doesn’t really change. The coaching staff had to prep us for what is in front of us and get our knowledge up to speed, so we’re ready for it.”

You can watch the rest of the interview with Faz as he discusses the benefits from having a week off, what Wigan are expecting from Castleford and his team’s training conditions this week.
