On this day (19th May 2018) the Warriors comfortably beat Warrington Wolves 38-10 at St James’ Park, Newcastle at the Dacia Magic Weekend. 

Six different players were on the scoresheet for Wigan, as they made it a day to remember in the North East. 

The scoring was opened by the Wolves’ Harvey Livett after 12 minutes, before tries from Sam Powell and Sam Tomkins put the Warriors in control. 

They were pegged back through a Stefan Ratchford try five minutes before break, but still went into the changing rooms leading 16-10. 

Quick fire tries from John Bateman and George Williams just after the 50th-minute mark re-extended the Warriors’ lead. 

The victory was sealed in the final ten minutes, as Liam Marshall and Tom Davies rounded off an excellent afternoon in Newcastle.
