This week on Wigan TV we have a selection of classic matches from the run-in of the 2006 season when everything was on the line for the Warriors.

A disastrous start to the year saw Wigan lose 14 of their opening 16 matches before a 24-18 win over Catalans Dragons kick-started a turnaround in fortunes.

We kick the week off with the Round 18 game in June against Warrington Wolves at the then JJB Stadium. Prop Stuart Fielden made his debut after his high-profile move from Bradford Bulls – one of very few games not shown on Sky Sports that season.

Fielden made his Wigan debut vs Warrington in June 2006.

Wigan fans flocked to support the team as new boss Brian Noble looked to keep the Warriors in Super League.

Games will be published around 2pm each day with highlights and the full match available for each of our featured games.

You can also get your ‘rugby fix’ and watch hour upon hour of classic match action spanning back through several decades on Wigan TV!
