Hate Crime Awareness Week

Hate Crime Awareness Week

Wigan Warriors and Wigan Warriors Community Foundation have teamed up with local organisations to raise awareness of National Hate Crime Awareness Week.

Along with Greater Manchester Police, Wigan Council, Stop Hate UK and other partners, the Warriors will be working to raise awareness of Hate Crime reporting and supporting services.

We will also be bringing together communities to celebrate difference and remember those that have been affected by Hate Crime.

A hate crime or incident is any behaviour that someone thinks was caused by hatred of someone’s disability, race, religion or faith, sexual orientation or gender identity. Hate crime can take many forms including name calling, damage to a house, car or property, arson or fire, attacks or violence, graffiti or writing
