  • Big One band search winner announced at Warrington game

  • Band to play pre-match set at Wigan v Leeds fixture on Friday

Bandit and Butler were unveiled as the winners of the Big One band search at half time of Thursday night’s game.

Over 4,000 votes were cast for which of five local bands would play ahead of the second Big One Week clash against Leeds Rhinos at the DW Stadium next Friday night (21st July).

Bandit and Butler formed in 2013, and has released 2 EPs. They consist of Jonathon Egan (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Paul Simon Whittaker (Lead guitar), Jamie Barnes (Bass Guitar) and Andy Robinson (Drums).

Lead singer Jonathan Egan commented,

“As Wigan fans, we’re over the moon at winning the public vote and we can’t wait to play at the DW Stadium.

“We’re currently trying to record a debut album, which the winning proceeds shall go towards. It will be recorded in Pemberton at the Music Rooms by none other than John Kettle, the producer for the Lancashire Hot Pots”
