Under 8’s teams are encouraged to take to the DW Stadium pitch to take part in a unique pre-match festival on the hallowed turf of the DW Stadium, whilst places for Under 7’s teams taking part in half-time games have now sold out.

Taking place on the Spring Bank Holiday, the afternoon will feature an action-packed line-up of rugby, live music and family entertainment to provide an enjoyable afternoon for the whole family.

Community Marketing and Group Sales Executive Amanda Wilkinson commented,

“Our next Family Funday fixture promises an enjoyable afternoon for the whole family so we are delighted to provide junior teams with a really special opportunity to show their skills on the DW Stadium pitch.

“Children are at the heart of the game and as a Club we love to give teams opportunities to create lasting memories in front of the thousands of supporters in attendance.

“These opportunities always prove extremely popular so I would encourage interested teams to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure that they do not miss out.”

Teams can enter the festival by bringing a group of fans to Wigan’s clash with Wakefield.

Coaches and administrators of teams interested in taking part in the Festival of Rugby are asked to contact Amanda Wilkinson on 07891 882048 or by emailing Please note places are limited and available on a first come basis.
